Amit Bhandari

Amit Bhandari is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Head of Portfolio Implementation at Bridgewater Associates in Singapore, a position held since August 2011, following roles as Team Lead and Senior Portfolio Associate. Amit has been instrumental in the implementation and oversight of global multi-asset portfolios and has driven various investment logic and operational improvements. Previously, Amit worked at Bridgewater as a Trading Associate, rapidly advancing from a junior FX execution trader to desk lead. Prior experience includes a role as a Financial Software Developer at Bloomberg, where Amit designed order routing components for the Execution Management System, and a research-focused academic appointment at the University of Utah. Amit holds a PhD in Financial Engineering and a Master’s in Industrial Engineering & Management Sciences from Northwestern University, along with a BTech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
