Rachel Lerner-Ley

Rachel Lerner-Ley is currently the Merkin Prize & New Directions Scholars Program Manager at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, a position held since September 2022. Previously, Rachel served as the Literary Manager and Resident Dramaturg at the Cleveland Play House from September 2013 to September 2022, where significant contributions involved overseeing a substantial script submission pipeline, guiding artistic processes, and mentoring apprentices. Additional roles include support as an Artistic Associate at Cleveland Play House, experience in educational curriculum design for K-8 trauma-informed practices, and legal expertise as a Real Estate Paralegal and Office Manager. Rachel holds a B.A. in Theatre and Spanish from Smith College.
