Josh Long

Josh Long serves as a Spring Developer Advocate at Broadcom since November 2023, and has been the CEO of JoshLong.com since 2001. Long previously held the position of Spring Developer Advocate at VMware from December 2019 to November 2023, and at Pivotal Inc. from April 2013 to January 2020. Long's extensive experience also includes advocating for Spring technologies at SpringSource, a division of VMware, from August 2010 to April 2013, and editing for the Java Queue at InfoQ from January 2008 to August 2012. Early career roles included Senior Engineer at Shopzilla, Senior Software Engineer at Venarc, and Senior Java Developer at Wells Fargo. Long has also been a speaker at the TheServerSide Java Symposium in 2009. Education was completed at Pierce College.
