Ludovico Cavedon

Ludovico Cavedon is an experienced R&D Engineer Software at VMware since June 2020, following VMware's acquisition of Broadcom and previously of Lastline, where Cavedon served as a Staff Engineer. Prior to VMware, Cavedon worked at Lastline, Inc. as a Software Development Lead and Security Researcher from October 2011 to June 2020. An internship at Google involved developing a large-scale intrusion detection system, while earlier roles included positions at UCSB as a Research Assistant in network and application security, and at Ask.com and Fluidmesh Networks, Inc. Cavedon also held a scholarship position in VoIP/SIP research and a summer trainee role at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. Cavedon holds a Master of Science in Computer Science - Security from UC Santa Barbara and multiple degrees in Computer Engineering from Università di Pisa and Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, among other educational pursuits.
