Violeta Georgieva

Violeta Georgieva is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience across multiple organizations, currently serving at Broadcom since November 2023. Violeta has been a committer at the Eclipse Foundation since December 2010, leading projects such as Gemini Web and Gemini Naming, while also contributing to Virgo. A member of The Apache Software Foundation since October 2009, Violeta has committed to Apache Tomcat and Apache Aries. Previous roles include Staff Engineer at VMware from March 2020 to November 2023 and Principal Software Engineer at Pivotal, Inc. from June 2016 to February 2020. Violeta has a solid background in development with SAP, focusing on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform, and has contributed to various open-source projects. Violeta began the professional journey as a Java Developer and later served as a lecturer at ITEC. Violeta holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski."
