Saumya Kumarihamy

Saumya Kumarihamy is an experienced Solution Engineer currently employed at Browns Engineering & Construction (Pvt) Ltd since January 2024. Previously, Saumya held the position of Electrical Engineer at Port City Colombo from April to December 2023 and worked as a Design Engineer at Office Network (Pvt) Ltd from April 2022 to April 2023. Experience also includes roles as Project Engineer and Assistant Engineer at Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC from July 2019 to April 2022, followed by work as an Assistant Engineer - Energy Solutions at Clarion International Ltd from May 2018 to June 2019. Saumya actively contributed to the IEEE Young Professionals Sri Lanka as Secretary from January 2017 to February 2019, and also served as Vice Secretary with the IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group at SLIIT from January 2015 to December 2016. Additional internships at Dialog Axiata PLC and Ceylon Electricity Board further complement Saumya's diverse background in electrical engineering. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Building Services Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SLIIT.
