Daniel Hornburg

Vice President Biomarkers & Precision Medicine at Bruker

Daniel Hornburg, PhD, serves as the Vice President of Biomarkers & Precision Medicine at Bruker since November 2023. Previously, Daniel held several key roles at Seer, including Vice President of Proteomics and Senior Director of Discovery, where significant contributions to research and technology development were made, leading to successful product launches and a billion-dollar IPO. Experience at Stanford University School of Medicine focused on multi-omics bioinformatics and lipidomics under the guidance of Professor Michael Snyder. During time at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry, innovative strategies in computational immunoproteomics were developed, and earlier work in neuroproteomics resulted in ten peer-reviewed publications. Daniel's educational background includes a PhD from the Max Planck Society and a Postdoctoral Scientist degree from Stanford University, complemented by degrees from the Technical University of Munich and Georgia Institute of Technology.
