Izzy Hennage

Izzy Hennage is a senior studying Computer Science at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Originally coming from Wheaton, a suburban city in the outskirts of Chicago, Izzy has traveled a thousand miles to partake in the wonders and beauty of Colorado. Some of her favorite pastimes are writing songs on the ukulele, painting and sketching, snowboarding, and spending time outdoors. As a half-Filipino half-White woman, she is a huge proponent of racial equality and women’s rights. She also loves cooking and eating Filipino meals and other Asian cuisines with her family. If there was any meal she could eat every day, it would be her mother’s sinigang, a Filipino stew. Izzy joined the Build A Robot family as an instructor in the summer of 2021, and is currently co-teaching at an after school program in the Denver area. As a creative, Izzy also writes blogs and creates videos to share the Build A Robot stories.
