William Hoke

William Hoke is an experienced athletic director currently serving Buncombe County Schools since August 2017, with a notable start in the 2019-2020 school year following a year off. Prior to this role, William held athletic director positions at Cane Creek Middle School and later contributed as an ISS teacher at A.C. Reynolds High School and Cane Creek Middle School. With a strong background in youth sports, William worked as a Youth Sports Development Coach at the YMCA of Western North Carolina, focusing on nurturing young athletes and officiating basketball games. Additionally, experience includes a role at Christine W. Avery Learning Center, emphasizing community inclusivity and youth development through various educational programs. William’s past position as Recreation Facility Supervisor at Asheville Parks & Recreation Department highlighted a commitment to community engagement through program development. William is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration at Western Carolina University, building on previous degrees in Sports Management and School Age Education.
