James Belgeri

Mr. Belgeri joined BLE in 2018 as Senior Consultant in the Asheville office. He has extensive geotechnical, geological and geophysical experience throughout the Southeast US, as well as experience with drilling and well installation and construction materials testing and inspections.

He holds a B.S. in Geological Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla and was previously a Fellow at Teach Tennessee Institute and a member of the Virginia Tech Center for Geotechnical Practice and Research (CGPR). He is a registered Professional Engineer in Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia, and a registered Professional Geologist in Tennessee. Mr. Belgeri’s career includes multiple project and organizational management positions including service on the Board of Directors of a large regional engineering practice. Areas of particular interest in the geotechnical field include sinkhole and Karst studies, rock slope engineering, and expansive geotechnical materials

Mr. Belgeri is married to his wife, Patty, and they have three daughters, eight grandchildren and two great granddaughters. His hobbies include golf with grandsons, working on his tractor, and teaching Sunday School.
