Leah Baker has extensive experience in environmental policy and planning, currently serving as the Associate State Director for Eastern States at the Bureau of Land Management since July 2007. Previous roles at the Bureau include Acting Assistant Director for Resources & Planning and Division Chief for Decision Support, Land Use Planning, and NEPA. Additionally, Leah has legislative experience as a Fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives and has held positions with the Pew Center on Global Climate Change, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the Peace Corps. Leah holds a Master’s degree in Global Environmental Policy from American University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Arizona.
