Priscila Amaral

Priscila Amaral, PhD, is a geologist with extensive experience in the petroleum sector, currently serving at Bureau Veritas Group since October 2022, coordinating Rock technology laboratories at Petrobras - Cenpes. In addition to this role, Priscila acts as the Regional Delegate for the Latin America & Caribbean Region for the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) since July 2021 and has been a Director at ABGP - Associação de Geólogos de Petróleo since May 2017, focusing on social media and internet outreach. Previous positions include Technical Sales at Stratum Reservoir from December 2019 to April 2022, where responsibilities included sales strategy planning, project management, and client interactions. Priscila has also held leadership roles at AAPG YP Brasil and has foundational experience as a bolista at ANP and an intern at Serviço Geológico do Brasil. Academically, Priscila earned a PhD in Geology and Earth Sciences from UERJ (2017-2022), a Master's in Basin Analysis from UERJ (2014-2016), and a Bachelor's degree in Geology from Universidade Federal do Pará (2007-2013).
