Lorenzo Lignarolo

Lorenzo Lignarolo is an experienced professional in building physics and energy sustainability, currently serving as Associate Director of Building Physics and MEP at Buro Happold since August 2024. Prior experience includes working as a Building Physics specialist at ABT bv from October 2018 to September 2024, where responsibilities included leading projects focused on energy efficiency and urban comfort, as well as involvement in the INFINITE H2020 project. Earlier roles included Senior Building Physics consultant and Acquisition Engineer at Actiflow BV, where support was provided to real-estate developers and architects in creating sustainable designs, along with expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Academic experience includes serving as a lecturer at Delft University of Technology, alongside roles as a PhD researcher in wind energy, and a consultant at Teuffel Engineering Consultants. Lorenzo Lignarolo holds advanced degrees in Energy and Nuclear Engineering from Politecnico di Torino and environmental fluid dynamics from the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics.
