Sumita Banerjee

Sumita Banerjee is a seasoned executive in the finance and investment sector, currently serving as the Director of Insights & Strategic Initiatives at BDC Capital since January 2022. In this role, Sumita focuses on developing initiatives that support the Canadian venture capital and private equity ecosystem while identifying trends and research topics that align with BDC Capital's mission. Previously, Sumita held multiple senior roles at PSP Investments from October 2004 to December 2021, including Director of the Global Investment Partnerships Portfolio where strategic investment opportunities were managed, and Director of Private Equity, overseeing the investment process and team collaboration. Sumita began a career in finance at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, working as a Portfolio Administrator. Sumita holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from Concordia University.
