Markus Ranne

Markus Ranne is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in advising on EU funding opportunities and managing programs in the space and industrial sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Business Finland since January 2018, Markus Ranne focuses on areas including the European Defence Fund, EU collaboration in digitalization, and is the National Contact Point for Horizon Europe, while also leading the New Space Economy program to enhance Finland’s position in the global space sector. Previously, Markus Ranne held significant roles at Finpro, managing internationalization advice for Finnish SMEs and developing a global partner network. Additionally, Markus Ranne worked at the European Space Agency overseeing project control and administration for satellite projects and began a career as a design engineer in power engineering. Markus Ranne holds an MBA in Strategic Leadership and a Master of Science in Technology, Electrical Engineering.
