Alexandrea Penn

Alexandrea (Allie) Penn is the Library & Research Services Manager at Butzel, a position held since April 2021, where management of the Knowledge & Research Services Department includes handling reference requests and maintaining library resources. Prior experience includes roles as a Librarian/Information Specialist at The Winthrop Group, Inc., an Assistant Processing Archivist at Carhartt, and an Archive Intern at CNN, where responsibilities involved reference assistance and project support for in-house patrons. Additional experience encompasses an internship at the Walter P. Reuther Library of Labor & Urban Affairs as an Archives Technician and Page, as well as a role as a Museum Interpreter at the Michigan Iron Industry Museum. Alexandrea holds multiple degrees from Wayne State University, including graduate certificates in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management and Archives/Archival Administration, a Master of Arts in History, and a Master of Library & Information Science. An undergraduate degree in History and Political Science was obtained from Northern Michigan University.
