Karen Alvarez

Karen Alvarez has extensive experience in videography, editing, and event coordination. Currently serving as a Sub Contractor Video Crew Grip for C-SPAN since January 2009, Karen also holds positions as a Videographer and Editor for iBN Sports and AKA Media Group, the latter of which has been managed since November 2006. As the Owner of AKA Media Group since January 1993, Karen has developed a strong foundation in video editing that began with personal projects. Previous experience includes managing the Cooking School at Andronico's Market, where responsibilities encompassed event coordination and marketing. Additionally, Karen was the Owner of Comfort Company, LLC, where a child-related product was developed and licensed. Early work experience includes a role as a Non Foods Clerk at Luckys from 1985 to 1991. Educational background includes attendance at Mt. Eden High School in Hayward, California.
