Nathan Hurst

Nathan Hurst is a seasoned political editor with extensive experience in journalism and media. Since July 2014, Nathan has led election coverage at C-SPAN and previously held roles such as Deputy Political Editor and Producer for Washington Journal, focusing on the coronavirus pandemic. Nathan produced significant public affairs programming, including live campaign coverage during the 2016 presidential election. Additionally, Nathan produced the award-winning second season of C-SPAN's Landmark Cases series. Nathan's background includes writing for Congressional Quarterly on federal transportation policy and serving as a Washington Correspondent for The Detroit News, where notable mid-term election coverage was undertaken. Nathan started in journalism at The Boston Globe and The Seattle Times while earning a B.S. in Print & Multimedia Journalism from Emerson College.
