Madeleine Bates

Madeleine Bates is an experienced professional in international development and program funding, currently serving as the International Programme Funding Officer at CAFOD since June 2022. Previously, Madeleine held the position of Director at Kaloko Trust from April 2019 to April 2022 and served as Chief Executive at both Health Books International and Teaching Aids at Low Cost (TALC UK) during 2013. Additional roles include International Development Programme Manager and Communications Manager at Traid from April 2007 to June 2013, and Network Development Officer/Engagement and Participation Officer at Bond UK between September 2002 and February 2007. Madeleine’s early career included managing a research grants scheme at Queen Mary University of London and supporting fundraising initiatives at NSPCC. Madeleine earned a BA Hons in Ibero-American Studies from the University of Leeds in 1999.
