Ashis Mukherjee

Ashis Mukherjee currently serves as Chief Legal Counsel at Cairn Oil and Gas since November 2018, providing legal support for procurement and contract management in the upstream oil and gas sector. Previously, Ashis held the position of Manager Corporate Legal at Gujarat Gas Limited, focusing on drafting and negotiating gas sales agreements. Ashis has also served as Manager - Legal at Corporate Power Ltd., Deputy Manager Legal at Adani Power Ltd., and Assistant Manager (Legal) at Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd., where responsibilities included drafting and negotiating various contracts across multiple industries. Early in the career, Ashis worked as a lecturer in Property Laws at Hidayatullah National Law University and as an advocate at Alipore Court in Kolkata. Ashis holds an LL.M in Intellectual Property Laws from Hidayatullah National Law University and an LL.B from the University of Calcutta.
