Grey Hayes

Grey Hayes is a seasoned professional in ecological consulting and environmental education with over two decades of experience. As a Restoration Ecologist at Grey Hayes, Ecological Consulting since January 2000, Grey has focused on various restoration projects. In addition, Grey serves as the Education and Research Programs Manager at Cal Poly Partners, coordinating activities at Swanton Pacific Ranch, and co-manages Molino Creek Farm's orchard operations, emphasizing high-quality fruit production. Previous roles include a long tenure as a lecturer in the UC Santa Cruz Environmental Studies Department, where Grey taught Protected Lands Management, and significant contributions as Director of Coastal Training at the Elkhorn Slough Foundation, enhancing ecological literacy and regulatory practices in coastal California. Grey is also a co-founder of Central Coast Wilds, where early restoration initiatives were implemented. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. and M.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, complementing extensive practical experience in ecological management and education.
