Alexandra Makowski

Alexandra Makowski is an experienced educator currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher with the Calgary Catholic School District since September 2023. Previously, Alexandra was a French Teacher in a Grade 3/4 French Immersion classroom at the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board from September 2022 to June 2023, and also worked as a mathematics and language tutor for primary level students in April to June 2022. Alexandra's background includes serving as a Specialty Sports Instructor and Ski Instructor with the City of Toronto from January 2013 to May 2022, as well as holding teaching roles at the Alpine Indoor Ski and Snowboarding Training Centre. Additional experience includes customer service at St. Stanislaus - St. Casimir's Polish Parishes Credit Union and banquet serving at Pearl Banquet Hall. Alexandra holds a Concurrent Bachelor of Education degree with a focus on French Studies from the Glendon Campus of York University, complemented by participation in the Explore Program at Université Sainte-Anne and Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.
