Avery Estrada

Avery Estrada, P.E., is a Principal Engineer in Water Resources at the California Department of Water Resources, a position held since May 2007. In this role, Avery manages planning, cost allocation, and cost recovery practices for the State Water Project, overseeing the administration of water supply contract financial provisions. Previous positions include Supervising Engineer, overseeing financial management and planning for the State Water Project, and Senior Engineer, managing annual billing activities for State Water Contractors. After beginning as an Engineer managing cost allocations and project implementations, Avery's experience also includes a student assistant role focused on contract administration for various capital projects. Avery holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Davis (2004-2008) and has early experience at the Sacramento County Business Environmental Research Center.
