Behrooz Etebari

Behrooz Etebari is a Senior Hydrogeologist at the California Department of Water Resources since June 2020, focusing on visualizing the Central Valley's geology using advanced data analysis tools. Previously, Etebari served as a Hydrogeologist at the State Water Resources Control Board, where simulations of surface water and groundwater flow were conducted. Experience includes a role as a Geologist at the LA County Department of Regional Planning, where policies related to various geological hazards were documented and updated. An independent consulting career as a Groundwater Modeler involved sustainable development projects in mine settings and aquifer analysis. Etebari's extensive background in groundwater monitoring and modeling was further developed during a tenure with the Iran Water Resources Management Company, culminating in leadership of the Hydrological Budget & Modeling Group. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Groundwater Geology from Shahid Beheshti University and a Bachelor of Science in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Birjand.
