Sally Lieber is an experienced public servant and civic leader, currently serving as Governing Board Member and Vice Chair of the California State Board of Equalization since January 2023. Lieber has been a member of the California Democratic Party's State Executive Committee since January 2018 and has held a position on the State Board of the California Clean Money Campaign since 2010. Additional experience includes serving as a Council Member for the City of Mountain View from December 2020 to January 2023, and as an Advisor and Governing Board Member for the San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority from January 2010 to January 2023. Sally Lieber contributed to the COVID response as a Health Systems Volunteer at the County of Santa Clara Health System in 2021 and has a background in humanitarian aid work from 2015 to 2018. Prior roles include Assemblywoman and Speaker pro Tempore in the California State Assembly from 2002 to 2008, and various positions in local government, including City Council Member and Mayor of Mountain View from 1998 to 2002. Sally Lieber holds a degree from Stanford University.
