Jim Hiebert

Jim Hiebert is a highly experienced engineering professional with a robust background in power technology and energy management systems. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at California ISO since March 2000, Jim Hiebert oversees SCADA/EMS, synchrophasor technologies, renewable integration, NERC compliance, and PI Historian activities. Previous experience includes roles at Duke Energy Corporation as a Senior Engineer, overseeing controls retrofit projects, and at Southern California Edison as a Computer Controls Engineer, where Jim Hiebert managed significant control upgrades. Early in the career, Jim Hiebert worked at Rosemount as a Controls Startup Engineer, focusing on distributed control systems. Jim Hiebert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, obtained between 1981 and 1985.
