Emmanuel Ricketts

Emmanuel Ricketts currently serves as a Professor at the California Institute of the Arts, teaching Hip Hop Theory & Praxis since January 2023. In addition, Emmanuel has been a Copywriter at Blavity Inc. since February 2022, focusing on creating inclusive and authentic messaging that highlights diverse voices often overlooked by mainstream media. Previously, Emmanuel held the position of Creative Director at KDEFRADIO from April 2015 to July 2023, where the role involved curating a weekly internet radio show that showcased progressive contemporary music across multiple genres. Emmanuel is also recognized as an Artist & Creator with a commitment to artistic innovation.
