Henry Yu

Henry Yu is an experienced writer and director currently serving as a teacher at the California Institute of the Arts since September 2021, specializing in story structure, character development, and writing. With a substantial career that includes work at major studios such as Netflix, Sony Pictures Animation, and Nickelodeon, Henry has been involved in notable projects including directing "Surf's Up 2: Wavemania" and contributing as a storyboard artist on "Hotel Transylvania 2" and "Gravity Falls." A graduate of the California Institute of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in character animation, Henry has a strong foundation in storytelling and animation that spans over a decade.
