Sam Bates

Sam Bates currently serves as a UAS Pilot & Engineer at Callen-Lenz Associates Ltd since November 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a UAV Pilot & Technician at Flylogix from November 2021 to November 2023, and as a Controls Engineer at Gestamp from September 2016 to November 2021, where Sam progressed from a multi-skilled maintenance apprentice to a key member of the controls team. The initial two years of the apprenticeship were completed at the Toyota Apprentice Development Centre, followed by two additional years at Gestamp. Sam holds an NVQ in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, obtained from the Toyota Training Academy from September 2016 to April 2021.
