Joseph Slevin is the Talent Acquisition Manager within the People Operations organization for CALSTART. Hiring across all positions, Joe works with management to grow the company to new levels.
Joe has over 20 years of Talent Acquisition and Talent Acquisition Management experience and previously worked with Southern California Edison as a Sr. Talent Acquisition Consultant. He was a manager with Lucent Technologies/Agere Systems and with Ortel Corporation, among other organizations. Having hired for companies like UCLA, Transamerica, qLogic, Western Asset and others, Joe has been invited to consult across many start-up organizations throughout his career. Joe was one of 20 of the first SCE Yellow Belts promoting continuous improvement, one of his passions.
Joe has a Master’s in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Long Island University (CW Post). Joe has presented before large audiences regarding Human Resources and jobs in a variety of industries and is a promoter of job creation, especially in green technology.
