Ole Vahlgren

Ole Vahlgren is currently a Board Member at Camurus. Ole has previously held positions at Blue Cell Therapeutics, GO-Pen ApS, and Camurus AB. From January 2012 to December 2019, they were the President & CEO of Otsuka Pharmaceutical Europe Ltd.

At Otsuka Pharmaceutical Europe Ltd., Vahlgren rejuvenated the European operations and management team, functional leads and managing directors. Ole also established and built new core business/TA units across Europe including areas such as market access, pricing, health economics, launch excellence, public and medical affairs. Under their leadership, new products were launched in mental health and specialty (rare diseases) with full market access in all major markets in EU.

In addition to leading the Otsuka Executive team for Europe, Vahlgren also oversaw the governance of the European CNS alliance with Lundbeck. Ole expanded the organization from 250 to 600+ people which generated 0.5bn+ Euro in new product sales.

Before their time at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Europe Ltd., Vahlgren was the Global Head and Senior Vice President of Corporate Business Development & Strategy at Lundbeck from January 2001 to December 2012.

Ole Vahlgren holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Copenhagen Business School as well as a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from DTU - Technical University of Denmark.
