Ali Chamanara

Ali Chamanara is an experienced mining engineering professional currently serving as the Manager of Mine Technical Services at Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) since June 2017, with a focus on Albian Sands. Prior to this role, Ali held various positions at Shell, including Lead Engineer and Manager of Mining Engineering, as well as Team Lead for MRM Mine and Tailings Planning at Albian Sands. Additionally, Ali has experience as a Production Engineer at Muskeg River Mine and has contributed to academia as a Lecturer in Mining Engineering at the University of Alberta. Ali's career also includes a role as a Mining Engineer at Rio Tinto and Jovein Cement Plc. Ali Chamanara earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Alberta between 2006 and 2013.
