Rose Anza-Burgess joined the Academic Advising team in 2019. As part of the team, she is involved in engaging students, and members of the university community through Course Planning and other university-led workshops.
She is part of a team who works closely with different areas of the university from academic support to various faculty areas. She is a CapU alumna, completing her degree in Liberal Studies. During her time as an undergraduate student, she was a student-athlete for the Blues women’s basketball team, and a peer mentor for the Capilano University e-Portfolio Project.
Anza-Burgess earned her MA from the SFU’s School for the Contemporary Arts, where she worked as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant for the English, Humanities, and Contemporary Arts departments. She is a TEDx public speaking coach, and took the stage as a TEDx speaker at the Vancouver Playhouse in 2019.
Above all, she has a very talented and inspiring wife, and a big family who teaches her about love, life, and humility.
