Councilwoman Carolyn Coleman is serving her first term as CATS board member as a designee of the East Baton Rouge Metropolitan Council. Ms. Coleman is a Baton Rouge native and proud graduate of both McKinley Junior High and McKinley Senior High School.
Councilwoman Coleman holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology from and a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Southern University and A&M College.
Councilwoman Coleman is currently serving her first term as a member of the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Council; she is retired from 40 years of experience in education. In addition to her role within CATS, she is an active member of the Complete Streets Committee, a member of the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge, and a children’s advocate and nontraditional leader within the Greater Baton Rouge Community.
