Wilson runs a global government affairs team focused on helping Google’s core product areas navigate a complex and dynamic public policy environment. With degrees in computer engineeing and law, Wilson uses his multidisciplinary background and expertise to provide a global set of lawmakers, regulators and other key opinion formers with thought leadership on the rapidly changing technology landscape and the societal implications of emerging technologies.
He was a patent lawyer and a software engineer prior to joining Google. In his spare time, he is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute, where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in the university’s technology entrepreneurship program. Wilson earned his Computer Engineering degree from NC State University and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law.
