Tsvi Gal is a Senior Advisor at Capri Ventures. Tsvi was previously with McKinsey & Company from February 2020 to December 2021, and Morgan Stanley from January 2012 to February 2020, where they served as Chief Technology Officer.
At Morgan Stanley, Tsvi Gal was responsible for transforming the bank into a modern, efficient & effective organization. Tsvi led the Agile & DevOps transformation for the division and the creation of the multi-year strategy and target state architecture along with standards, guidelines, blueprints and use patterns that made it actionable to the engineers and developers. Tsvi also helped position the bank as a leader in migration to public cloud and containers and ran an effective yet economic usage of private and public cloud technology, cyber security, mobile apps, AI/ML, big data analytics and software defined infrastructure as a code.
Some of their other accomplishments include breaking the silo mentality and aggressively reducing technology debt. Post implementation the strategy resulted in significant cost reduction (over $400M/year) while absorbing major growth (from $1.2 to $2.4 trillion AUM). Tsvi also created a multi-year strategy and a target state architecture to modernize the firm, as well as led the innovation initiative across the firm to enhance ideation and a sense of participation across technology including consolidation of the firm’s labs and opened them to all developers, provide tools and an environment to test new technologies and apply innovation and run pilots and POCs.
Tsvi Gal has an MBA in management from Golden Gate University and a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from Rutgers University.
