Steve Aylmer

Steve Aylmer MBCS AfCIIS is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in education and cybersecurity. Currently serving as Lead Tutor at CAPSLOCK since January 2023, Steve previously held roles as Assistant Lead Tutor and Assistant Tutor within the same organization, and completed a Trainee Cyber Security Specialist program accredited by CIISec. Prior to their tenure at CAPSLOCK, Steve dedicated six years as a Full-Time Carer and accumulated nearly three decades of experience at the UK Ministry of Defence, where roles included Safety Communications, Policy Advisor for Environment & Energy, and Engineering Specialist. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Southampton and a Higher National Diploma in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Bath College.
