Matthew Nicholls

Matthew has a broad range of tax and strategic business financial skills. His experience covers both the public and private sectors, with a focus on ensuring compliance and tax practices are lean, agile and deliver results. Matthew currently leads the tax team at BAE Systems Australia and joined the Cara Board of Directors in 2018.

Matthew’s private practice experience has seen him specialise in a range of industries including banking and finance, mining, manufacturing. building and construction, defence, government, agribusiness and energy.

Matthew’s wide-ranging business and strategic Board experience is invaluable to Cara, as he also holds the position of Chair of Cara’s Finance and Audit Committee.
