Kathleen Cruz Gaw

Kathleen Cruz has extensive experience in scientific and laboratory support, currently serving as Lab Supervisor and Lab Lead at Carbon Engineering Ltd. since November 2018, overseeing laboratory operations for Direct Air Capture and Air-to-fuels pilot plant projects. Previously, Kathleen worked at EMSL Analytical, Inc. from September 2015 to October 2018 as a Microscopist and Lab Analyst, focusing on the analysis of bulk materials and air samples for fungal species. Kathleen's earlier roles include customer service and logistical responsibilities at Nesters Market, alongside tutoring Biology students at UBC in foundational laboratory techniques. Kathleen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Environmental Science from The University of British Columbia.
