Hannah Besly is an experienced professional in environmental communication and research, currently serving as an Events & Communications Officer at Carbon Tracker since March 2024. Prior roles include Research Assistant for Measuring Urban Sustainability in Transition, where contributions focused on urban sustainability, and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Institute for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies at The George Washington University, where analytical support for NSF research on Arctic tourism effects was provided. Additional experience includes an internship at EARTHDAY.ORG, where blog content was created for a large audience, and a role as an Associate Environmental Podcast Producer at The Creative Process, producing a podcast on climate issues. Previous advocacy efforts were conducted with Environment America and Change the Chamber, emphasizing climate legislation and corporate engagement. Hannah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and International Affairs from The George Washington University.
