Dario Valenza is the founder of Carbonix, a company that specializes in the design and fabrication of composite materials. Dario has over 20 years of experience in the composites industry, and has worked on some of the biggest movie sets and projects in the world.
Valenza got their start in the industry in 2001, working for UAE Pro Racing and UITG. Dario was responsible for set construction and the design and fabrication of composite materials for both companies. In 2003, they joined the team at Star Wars: Stealth as a composites manufacture and design specialist. Dario was responsible for set construction and the design and fabrication of composite materials for the movie.
In 2005, Valenza left Stealth to join Victory Challenge, an America's Cup racing team. Dario was responsible for the planning and implementation of the design and build team for the America's Cup challenge. This included structuring the timeline, budget, and process flow for the design, construction, and testing phases of bespoke, high-performance racing yachts. Dario was also responsible for design and build team structuring, hiring, and coordination, as well as logistics and materials purchasing.
In 2011, Valenza left Victory Challenge to start their own company, Carbonix. Carbonix specializes in the design and fabrication of composite materials for a variety of applications.
Dario Valenza completed a graduate diploma in architecture at Sydney University. Dario is also certified as an Associate Member from the Royal Aeronautical Society.
