James Payne

James Payne is an experienced football coach currently serving as a Pre Academy coach and Head coach of U9's ADC at Cardiff City Football Club since July 2019. Additionally, James has held coaching positions at Cardiff University as a development centre coach for U15’s/U16’s, at Cardiff and Vale Schools as Head Football Coach for U15's and U16's girls squads, and at Merthyr Town Football Club as both Women's Team Manager and Assistant Manager. Previous roles include working as a Sports Coach at Sports Xtra, Assistant Football Coach at the FAW Trust's South Girls Performance Centre, and a coach at Swansea City Football Club, where James worked with youth teams. James also served as Head Coach for the U13's at Cardiff City Ladies. Academic qualifications include a degree in Football Coaching and Performance from the University of South Wales.
