Michael B. Yaffe

Michael B. Yaffe, MD, PhD, is the Founder of Consensus Pharmaceuticals and Merrimack Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Yaffe Co-Founded On-Q-ity Inc. (formerly, The DNA Repair Company) in 2004. Dr. Yaffe is a David H. Koch Professor of Biology and Biological Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He serves as Director of Clinical Outreach at Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research. Dr. Yaffe served as Chairman of Scientific Advisory Board at The DNA Repair Company. He serves as Member of Scientific Advisory Board of Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Dr. Yaffe serves as a Member of Science Advisory Board at Applied BioMath, LLC. He served as a Member of The Scientific Advisory Board at Boston Biomedical Research Institute, Inc. Dr. Yaffe is the Howard and Linda Stern Career Development Associate Professor of Biology and Biological Engineering at MIT and Attending Surgeon at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School.

He joined the MIT faculty in 2000. Dr. Yaffe completed a residency in General Surgery, a Fellowship in Surgical Critical Care, Burns and Trauma at Harvard Medical School and post-doctoral training in Signal Transduction with Lew Cantley in Cell Biology at Harvard.

He is a Senior Associate Member of Broad Institute. Dr. Yaffe received his BS degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Cornell University and his MD in 1989 and PhD degree in 1987 from Case Western Reserve University in Biophysical Chemistry.
