Josefina Almonte has extensive experience in pediatric surgery, serving as a Pediatric Surgeon at multiple institutions including Cardinal Santos Medical Center and Manila Doctors Hospital since 1985. In addition to their surgical roles, Josefina Almonte has held leadership positions such as Head of the Section of Pediatric Surgery at both hospitals and San Juan de Dios Hospital. Josefina Almonte also contributed to academia as a Professor at UP College of Medicine and served as Chairperson at UP College of Medicine PGH from January 2004 to December 2006.
