Sarmistha Samantaray

Sarmistha Samantaray currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Engineering at care.ai, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this role, Sarmistha was the Senior Director of Engineering at American Well from May 2012 to July 2023, where responsibilities included the design and development of SaaS and integration solutions, as well as managing global resources for comprehensive project delivery. Sarmistha's earlier experience includes working as an Advisory Software Engineer at IBM from October 2006 to May 2012, focusing on requirement analysis and leading security initiatives for asset management products, and as a Lead Software Engineer at MRO Software from January 1999 to October 2006. Sarmistha began a career in software engineering as a Software Engineer at Ramco Systems from August 1995 to October 1997. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Computer Application from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, earned between 1992 and 1995.
