Bruce McKay

Bruce McKay is a distinguished academic and researcher with extensive experience in the field of biology and biochemistry. Since May 2013, Bruce McKay has held multiple prominent positions at Carleton University, including Chair of the Department of Biology, Professor, and Director of the Institute of Biochemistry. At the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, which Bruce McKay has been affiliated with since 2000 as an Affiliate Investigator and Scientist, research activities have focused on advancing scientific knowledge. Prior to these roles, Bruce McKay served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan Medical Center from 1997 to 2000, following a robust educational journey that includes a Ph.D. in Biology from McMaster University and a postdoctoral fellowship in Radiation Oncology at the University of Michigan. Bruce McKay's academic qualifications are further complemented by a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences from Brock University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Toronto Mississauga.
