Michelle Pomatto

Michelle Pomatto, Ph.D., currently serves as an Associate Polymer Scientist at Carlisle Construction Materials, having transitioned to this role in June 2024. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Virginia Tech, where Michelle worked as a Research Assistant and Macromolecular Science and Engineering PhD Candidate from August 2019 to May 2024. During this time, extensive research was conducted on various polymers, employing advanced characterization techniques and collaborating with interdisciplinary groups. Previous positions include Polymer Scientist at Ideal Innovations, Inc., where Michelle led time-sensitive research projects, and Urethane and Rubber Chemist at Westland Technologies, Inc., managing projects from formulation to product sales. Michelle's educational background includes a PhD in Macromolecular Science and Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Virginia Tech.
