Elena Villalba Mora

Elena Villalba Mora is the Director of Cátedra Analytics en la Sociedad Digital con Innova-tsn and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid since March 2023. Serving as the Principal Investigator of the Ageing Laboratory at the Centre for Biomedical Technology since March 2018, Elena focuses on ageing and its effects on quality of life and healthcare sustainability. Additionally, Elena has held various academic roles at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid since 2004, including Associate Professor in Software Engineering and Senior Researcher on User Experience. With extensive experience in eHealth and personalized healthcare technologies, including significant contributions to EU R&D projects, Elena's expertise encompasses the design and validation of systems to monitor chronic diseases. Elena holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and has additional qualifications in Electrotechnics from Technische Universität Darmstadt and Telecommunications Engineering.
