Prior to CarMax, Harris was the General Manager at England Custom Furniture Direct, overseeing a team and managing revenues exceeding $1.5 million annually. Earlier career experience includes serving as Store Manager at Rent-A-Center, where responsibilities included leading a team and managing a store with revenues nearing $1 million. Gary Harris holds an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management from Youngstown State University.
