George Chen

George Chen is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon University since January 2017, focusing on trustworthy machine learning, survival analysis, time series analysis, nonparametric prediction, and healthcare. As a co-founder and advisor of CoolCrop, Chen works on machine learning approaches for forecasting produce prices in India. Chen also contributes to educational initiatives as a computer science instructor for MEET, teaching web development to high school students. With a strong background in machine learning and data analysis, Chen has held positions at prestigious institutions such as MIT and UC Berkeley, gaining a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.
